Nodaway County health officials confirm eight more COVID-19 cases


MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Nodaway County Health Department has confirmed eight more cases of COVID-19 in the county.

The Health Department says the latest patients are a teenage girl and boy, a man in his 20s, two women in their 30s, one woman in her 40s, and two women in their 70s.

Health officials say this now bring the total number of cases in the county up to 649. Of those 649, 154 cases are still active.

Northwest Missouri State University says 58 of those active cases involve Northwest students or employees. Officials continue to urge residents to social distance and practice good hygiene.
